Thank you for considering Kayla J Makeup Artist to be part of your special day. Please read the terms and conditions below carefully. By paying the deposit associated with your invoice or quote, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this agreement.
1. Payments
A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. The deposit comes off the total balance.
Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received and the contract has been signed.
The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before the event date. Please let me know if you need more time prior to the due date!
Proof of payment may be requested.
2. Booking Changes
Reducing the number of people means any payment made for removed people may be forfeited.
Additional people may be added if scheduling allows and will be charged at the current pricing at the time of change, if different to your initial quote.
If your getting ready location changes, the call out fee may be adjusted to accommodate any additional travel time.
Changes to start or finish times must be approved in advance and are subject to availability.
3. Rescheduling & Cancellations
A minimum of 4 weeks’ notice is required to reschedule. New dates are subject to availability.
If no suitable new date is found, the deposit may be converted to credit valid for 12 months.
If the client later cancels the rescheduled booking, a new deposit will be required to book again.
If the Artist Cancels
If, due to unforeseen circumstances, the artist is unable to fulfill the booking:
4. Travel & Parking
A Call-out fee applies for mobile services. Rates may vary based on distance.
If on-location services require paid parking, the client is responsible for all parking costs. Please advise in advance if parking or access may be difficult so sufficient time can be allowed for arrival.
Please ensure a clean workspace is available for set-up. I need a fairly large table or bench space to set up on which ideally is near a window and has a power point close by.
5. Allergies & Health
Any allergies, sensitivities, or medical concerns must be disclosed in advance.
The artist is not liable for allergic reactions.
The artist maintains high hygiene standards; however, if a contagious condition (e.g., conjunctivitis or cold sores) is detected on the day, service may be refused without refund.

Kayla J Makeup Artist is committed to maintaining a safe, hygienic and respectful working environment. Disrespectful, abusive, discriminatory or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated. If such behaviour occurs, the artist reserves the right to cease services and leave the premises immediately, with no refunds provided.
8. Media Use
Photos and videos taken during the appointment may be used on the artist’s website, social media and portfolio.
If privacy is required, please notify before the appointment.
Reviews or testimonials may also be used for promotional purposes.
9. Phone Use
To ensure application quality and timing, please limit phone use during your makeup application. Emergencies, calls, and showing reference photos are fine.
